5 Tips to Prevent Car Park Dents
Car park dents, often caused by shopping trolleys or other car doors, are one of the most common types of damage we see at Dent Alert. While we're always here to help repair them, prevention is better than cure!
1. Park Remotely
Walking a little further from the store entrance can save you from damage. Less crowded areas mean less risk of trolley impacts and careless door openings from other drivers.
2. Choose End Spaces
If possible, park at the end of a row where you only have cars on one side. This halves the chance of door dings from neighbouring vehicles.
3. Mind the Gap
Be careful when opening your own door and watch for shopping trolley bays. Avoid parking near them — on windy days, loose trolleys can roll into vehicles causing significant damage.
4. Use Door Guards
Invest in door edge guards or magnetic door protectors. These inexpensive accessories absorb impact and prevent chips and dents when doors accidentally bump into obstacles.
5. Park Defensively
Use your parking sensors to maintain safe distances from walls and other vehicles. Modern parking technology can help you avoid self-inflicted damage and tight spots.
Despite your best efforts, dents can still happen. If they do, contact Dent Alert for a free quote on repair!
